Murals Artwork Design
Susan Dupont Baptista is a lifelong resident of the Leamington / Kingsville area, the southernmost part of Canada, and is the sole proprietor of Susan Dupont Baptista, Artful Interiors. She is a visual artist who has been selling her works since she was 11 years old, having won many contests and awards for her art. She continues to use her considerable gifts to the benefit of her many satisfied and repeat clients.
Susan's styles and mediums are many and she is able to capture whatever vision her client has and makes it a reality. Her work graces the halls of law offices in the form of intricately framed original oil paintings, adds ambiance and elegance to restaurants and banquet rooms with panoramic murals, and adds brightness and personality to the bedrooms and playrooms of some really cool kids! She is a master of "trompe l'oeil", or "fooling the eye" and can turn drywall into marble, slate, stucco, mozaics and antique tile, or allows the viewer to step into a wine cellar, garden or amazon jungle. She makes white ceiling medallions and mouldings rich with guilding and semi precious stones you have to see to believe! The scope of what can be created is limited only by the collective imagination of Susan and her customers.
She has recently expanded her business, has partnered with the South Essex Arts Association and is the teacher for Adult Art Education at the Leamington Arts Centre starting February 2012. She is offering 16 different classes over the course of the coming year which cover many mediums, styles and genres. She is prepared to share all of her experience and secrets so that others can come to know the great personal satisfaction and fulfillment of being an artist, and so that the Leamington area can take a few steps towards becoming a more vibrant artists' community.
